Cody for JetBrains v6.0.26: Ask Cody to Fix on Windows plus new UI preview

Alex Isken, Justin Dorfman

Cody for JetBrains v6.0.26 is now available! This update brings the new Ask Cody to Fix button to Windows. Cody will also receive a new, unified sidebar in the next release, and a preview is included below.

Ask Cody to Fix, now on Windows

The Ask Cody to Fix button (released in v6.0.25) is now available on Windows. With just a single button, you can go from seeing an error in your IDE to implementing a fix.

✨ Preview: a new Cody sidebar is coming to JetBrains

A good AI coding assistant should fit seamlessly into your workflow, reducing toil without adding complexity to your work. For Cody to achieve this, we believe it needs a UX that is fast, intuitive, and consistent regardless of where you work with it.

In the next JetBrains update (coming the first week of September), the Cody sidebar will receive a significant UI overhaul, matching the faster and more polished sidebar of the one recently released on VS Code.

New Cody sidebar

You will need to upgrade to JetBrains version 2023.2 or later to see the new sidebar. Going forward, the Cody plugin will be optimized for more recent JetBrains IDE versions, and we will only make critical security and bug fixes for versions 2023.1 and older.
